About the event

Tangle With Us: Shapes That Come Alive

With pen on paper, Zentangle invites us to slow down and return to something beautifully simple—

one stroke, one shape, one moment at a time.

This HitRefresh Practice Circle continues a practice that has long been shaped by the generosity and wisdom of Dr. Jill Greenbaum, Ed.D., a Certified Zentangle Teacher whose guidance helped many of us discover calm, creativity, and presence through structured patterning. We offer deep gratitude for her teaching and her blessing as this practice now continues in a new, community-led form.

In this evolving session,

we now come together to “Tangle With Us”—supported by fellow practitioner Lakshmi Ramaseshan,

who will gently guide the group through an accessible, relaxed creative flow.

You can also expect short visual prompts and beginner-friendly inspiration to help everyone,

whether first-time tangle or seasoned practitioner, enter the practice with ease.

Zentangle is a simple yet powerful method of creating beautiful images using structured, repetitive patterns.

As dots, lines, and curves begin to connect, something quietly shifts: attention settles, thinking softens, and a sense of calm clarity emerges.

In this 45-minute shared practice, we’ll explore a few foundational shapes, let them evolve freely on the page, and allow music, rhythm, and attention to guide the experience.

The emphasis is not on outcome—but on presence, curiosity, and discovery.

At the end, we’ll pause to reflect together, share what emerged, and each name a simple insight or “life philosophy” that surfaced through the practice.

What to Expect:

🌀 Tap into Flow

Simple shapes become a doorway into creative rhythm and ease.

🧘 Find Stillness in Motion

Discover how focused drawing can quiet the mind and soften attention.

🎨 Create Freely

No rules, no pressure—just space to explore and see what unfolds.

💬 Share & Reflect

Close the session by witnessing each other’s creations and the insights they reveal.

What to Bring:

• Paper (any kind works well)

• Fine-tip pen or marker

• Pencil (optional for shading or sketching)

• A willingness to explore without judgment

This session is open to all levels—no artistic experience needed.

Inspired by the teaching of Dr. Jill Greenbaum, Ed.D., and carried forward in community practice.
