About the event
Self-Trust Through Transition: Somatic Practices for Navigating Uncertainty
Uncertainty is a universal human experience.
When we're in the midst of change or transition, it's easy to question ourselves, second-guess our choices, or feel unsure of what comes next.
But feeling stuck or uncertain doesn't necessarily mean we lack wisdom. Sometimes, we've simply lost our bearings.
In this 45-minute HitRefresh Practice Circle, Carole Jean Whittington, Orientation Scientist and Well-Being Researcher at the Whittington Institute, will guide us through a brief exploration of the science of disorientation and self-trust.
We'll then move from understanding into experience, exploring simple somatic practices designed to help you reconnect with your inner authority, quiet some of the fog of uncertainty, and notice what becomes possible when you trust yourself from the inside out.
Rather than trying to figure everything out, this practice offers an opportunity to pause, reconnect, and listen to what your body may already know.
What to Expect:
🧭 Understand Disorientation
Explore what happens when uncertainty disrupts our sense of direction—and why this doesn't mean we've lost our wisdom.
🌿 Reconnect With Yourself
Use simple somatic practices to shift out of the fog and reconnect with your own internal signals and sense of direction.
✨ Embody Self-Trust
Experience what it feels like to access your inner authority through the body, rather than relying solely on the mind to find the answer.
💬 Pause & Reflect
Create space to notice what you’re experiencing and consider how you might carry a greater sense of self-trust into a transition you're navigating.
No special preparation or prior experience is needed.
Come as you are, with a little curiosity about what your body might have to tell you.
